Precision Flotation for LBL and Seabed Reference Transponders
Product Overview
The Kongsberg cNODE Maxi Float Collar is a heavy-duty flotation assembly designed specifically for the cNODE Maxi transponder series. It is a critical component for subsea operations where the transponder must be moored to the seabed in a vertical orientation—such as in Long Baseline (LBL) arrays or as a stationary Dynamic Positioning (DP) reference.
The collar provides the necessary buoyancy to keep the transponder upright and stable, ensuring the acoustic transducer has a clear, unobstructed line-of-sight to the surface vessel or subsea vehicle. When used with a cNODE Maxi equipped with an internal release mechanism, the float collar facilitates a safe and "hands-free" recovery of the expensive transponder asset.
