Product Overview
Released in early 2023, the Teledyne RD Instruments (RDI) Workhorse II Sentinel is a comprehensive design refresh of the original Workhorse Sentinel, which has been the global industry standard for over 25 years. It is a self-contained Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) designed for multi-month autonomous deployments in oceans, harbors, lakes, and estuaries.
The Workhorse II update addresses global supply chain challenges by refreshing the internal electronics with modern components while incorporating significant performance improvements based on decades of user feedback. It retains the same field-proven acoustic performance but adds superior data storage, a more robust connector, and a significantly improved compass.
