The Kongsberg EM 2042 represents a significant leap in multibeam echosounder (MBES) technology. Specifically designed to be 60% lighter than its predecessor (the EM 2040), it is engineered for rapid deployment on a vast range of platforms—from large survey vessels to small Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs) and inflatable crafts.

Operating across a wide frequency band from 150 kHz to 700 kHz, the EM 2042 provides the flexibility to balance depth penetration with surgical imaging precision. With integrated 4D motion compensation and the revolutionary PredictivePitch™ technology, this system delivers "clean" survey data even in challenging sea states, effectively extending your operational weather windows.
