Product Overview 

The EdgeTech 6205s2 is a fully integrated Wide Swath Bathymetry and Dual Frequency Side Scan Sonar system. Representing the fourth generation of EdgeTech’s shallow-water technology, the 6205s2 overcomes the limitations of traditional Multibeam Echo Sounders (MBES) and interferometric systems by utilizing unique Multi-Phase Echo Sounder (MPES) technology. This hybrid approach combines multiple receive arrays with both beamforming and phase differencing techniques to deliver the widest, cleanest swaths available in shallow water.

Redesigned for modern survey demands, the "s2" variant is significantly lighter and more compact than its predecessors, making it the premier choice for Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs) and vessels of opportunity. By providing co-registered, simultaneous bathymetry and dual-frequency side scan data in a single pass, the 6205s2 maximizes survey efficiency while exceeding IHO SP-44 Special Order standards.
