Teledyne Workhorse II Mariner ADCP

Teledyne RD Instruments' Workhorse II Mariner Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) has emerged as the preferred instrument for vessel-based researchers and commercial surveyors operating in coastal and deeper waters. Designed for coastal hull-mount applications, the Mariner offers the same advantages as RDI's traditional ADCP products but in a compact package.

The Mariner seamlessly integrates with the vessel's GPS/GNSS input, providing integrated ADCP readings with precise position information. Starting in 2023, the Workhorse II models replace the original Workhorse models and feature several enhancements. These include increased memory in the compact flash card, improved performance and specifications for the compass (especially at higher latitudes and tilt angles), and raw magnetometer data for post-processing.

Additionally, the Workhorse II Mariner comes standard with a 200m pressure sensor and water modes LADCP, Ice Tracking, Mode 11, and Mode 12, eliminating the need for separate purchases. These improvements ensure enhanced functionality and performance, making the Mariner an indispensable tool for coastal and deep-water surveys.
