Product Overview 

The Applanix POS MV Elite represents the pinnacle of the POS MV family, offering the highest level of performance available to the hydrographic industry. It is a tightly coupled GNSS-aided Inertial Navigation System (INS) specifically engineered for the most demanding multibeam survey applications. By employing aerospace-grade Ring Laser Gyros (RLG) and high-end accelerometers, the Elite model delivers motion measurement accuracy that is approximately twice as precise as the current industry standards.

The system seamlessly blends GNSS data with inertial observables from its high-accuracy IMU and heading from the GNSS Azimuth Measurement System (GAMS). This ensures that even during GNSS outages—such as when surveying under bridges or near large offshore structures—your position, heading, and attitude remain stable and within IHO Special Order requirements.
