The Applanix POS MV WaveMaster II is a high-performance, turnkey GNSS-aided Inertial Navigation System (INS) designed to provide stable and highly accurate attitude, heading, position, and heave data. Positioned as the versatile professional workhorse of the POS MV family, the WaveMaster II is engineered specifically for hydrographic professionals operating in varied marine environments, from shallow coastal waters to deeper offshore sites.

Utilizing Applanix’s advanced IN-Fusion™ 2.0 technology, the system blends GNSS data with high-rate inertial observables from a high-accuracy IMU. Combined with the GNSS Azimuth Measurement System (GAMS), the WaveMaster II produces a robust six-degree-of-freedom solution, ensuring that multibeam echosounder (MBES) data remains clean and artifact-free, even during aggressive turns or in heavy sea states.
