Product Overview The R2 Sonic 2026-V is the most powerful and versatile multibeam echosounder (MBES) in the R2 Sonic portfolio. While the 2022 and 2024 models are optimized for shallow-to-medium depths, the 2026-V is engineered for extended range coverage, capable of producing high-integrity bathymetry at depths exceeding 800 meters.

As a member of the Sonic-V Series, it features a fully integrated architecture that embeds the processor and controller into the sonar head. This reduces the topside footprint to the compact VOX-IM interface module, making it the primary choice for large vessel hull-mounts, deep-sea ROVs, and long-endurance AUVs.
