The High-Resolution Standard for Permanent Ship-Based Installations

Product Overview 

The SeaBat T50-R is the rack-mounted configuration of the SeaBat T-series multibeam echosounder. While the "P" version is built for portability and small boats, the "R" (Rack-mount) is designed for permanent installation in the server rooms of dedicated survey vessels, research ships, and large offshore platforms.

The heart of the system is the 2U Rack-mount Sonar Processor (RSP), which provides high-speed data handling and seamless integration into a ship’s existing bridge or lab electronics. This configuration is favored by commercial hydrographic companies and government agencies who need the highest data fidelity and 24/7 reliability.

  • Exceptional Clean Data: Known for producing extremely "quiet" data with minimal noise, which significantly reduces the man-hours required for post-processing and cleaning.
  • Integrated INS (Optional): The T50-R can be ordered with a built-in Inertial Navigation System (INS), such as the industry-leading Applanix WaveMaster II. This reduces cabling and ensures perfect time-sync between motion, position, and sonar data.
  • Tracker Autopilot: This automated feature allows the sonar to adjust its own gain, power, and range. It ensures the data quality remains consistent even during long shifts or when the vessel transitions between shallow and deep water.
  • Frequency Agility: Fully tunable from 190 kHz to 420 kHz, allowing you to balance swath width and resolution on the fly.
  • Multi-Detect & FlexMode: Features that allow for high-density mapping of complex vertical structures (like pier pilings) or ultra-high resolution over specific narrow targets (like pipelines).
