The BV3100 from Teledyne BlueView, deployed from a patrol boat, serves various purposes including search and recovery operations, dive team situational awareness, and diver vectoring. It is also effective for harbor bottom inspection and underwater IED detection.
Utilizing Teledyne BlueView's 2D forward-looking sonar mounted to a digital pan and tilt system, the BV3100 provides clear, streaming imagery for confined and wide-area searches. Its real-time imagery is available whether the device is moving or stationary, even in zero visibility water conditions. The BV3100 can be used independently or in conjunction with side-scan sonar to guide divers to targets identified in side-scan imagery.
